Engineer for mobile, VR, and console games utilizing Unreal Engine 4 and Unity. I have worked on multiple projects from their initial concepts into realized applications. Two mobile apps I helped design and two others I helped update are currently available in the Apple App Store. I've worked on two VR games (Unity and Unreal), 2 PC/Console games, and 1 DLC. My main focus was UI engineering but I also had other responsibilities.

Software Engineer 7/21/2020 - 1/31/2024 Babaroga (Unreal Engine)
Jan 2024: Mobile gaming (C++)
Updated the code for 2 legacy mobile games to get them running on current iOS operating systems.
Tested the games to ensure they still performed correctly after refactoring.\
2023: Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria (Unreal Engine 4, Blueprints, UMG, C++)
Developed features for an RPG crafting/survival video game.
Made sure the game met the requirements for releasing on the Sony PlayStation 5.
2021 - 2022: Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach (Unreal Engine 4, Blueprints, UMG)
Utilizing the cartesian coordinate system, I created a mini map for player navigation with markers that updated to show where interactables were. Using sector related math, I added D-pad navigation that feels intuitive to players.
Took the UI designs and fully engineered their concept into a functional system for over 90% of the game's UI features: heads up displays, every in-game menu, splash and title screens, and widget animations.
Integrated over 90% of the UX features such as key remapping, accessibility, video/audio/display settings, controller feedback, interaction prompts, and dynamic materials(VFX). Also helped refine these mechanics for a better user experience.
Created debugging tools for QA to more easily and rapidly test new features: debug menus and debug heads up displays.
2020: Rehabilitation Therapy based VR game (Unreal Engine 4, Blueprints)
Created a VR minigame for Penumbra aimed at helping people going through brain trauma rehabilitation.
Developed item generation, object interaction, score keeping, feedback, difficulty adjustments, and accessibility features.
Created a menu system to manage the minigame’s settings. It was so useful that I was requested to adapt it to every minigame in this project.
Designer + Software Engineer 09/2014 - 06/2018 University of California Riverside (Unity C#)
2014 - 2017 *Game Design and Engineering (C#, Unity2D)
Recruited and assessed over 100 participants. Took them through the whole process from pre evaluation, through the studies, and into post evaluation.
Designed a brain training game focused on improving memory using methods such as N-Back and Chunking. It is called “Recollect the Game” and is available on the Apple App Store.
Using psychological tasks and research, I created a functional game from scratch to improve a person's inhibitory control (resist) and environmental control (avoid) with tasks such as Go/No-Go, stop signals, and rule switches. This game was used as the precursor study for the Apple App Store game “Poly Rules!”.
2016 *Mind and Body Hackathon >> Memory-Training FPS Game Designer (C#, Unity VR, HTC Vive)
Tasked to create a fully functional VR game within 48hrs emphasizing the use of mind and body. I was the lead designer and came up with a VR memory training shooter game that encouraged users to test themselves with larger memory chunks which would ultimately lead to a higher score. Our team won 2nd place out of 10.

2014 Top Rank Tutor (Riverside Community College)
As a tutor I was awarded for my excellent performance. I was in the top 3 of 25+ tutors at the school
2017 Startup for Innovators (UC Riverside)
Presented to a group of regional venture capitalists on the value and importance of taking on researchers and startup groups interested in joining the market segment of brain-training games
2020 Data Science (Coursera)
Continued my education via online courses to learn Python, SQL, and its applications in data science by collecting and analyzing GIS data
